The Collaborative strives for a membership body that is representative of the diversity within the HIV women's community, including women of diverse racial and ethnic backgrounds, sexual orientation, age, HIV/AIDS status, languages, abilities and experiences. It is our diversity that gives us a unique vantage point from which to address disparities by gender and among different populations of women.

A person joins by attending a general meeting and/or requesting to be added to the Collaborative's membership list. Participation is expected and all members are encouraged to actively take part in the work of the Collaborative by attending general meetings, joining one of its committees, supporting Collaborative initiatives, assisting in the recruitment of new members and willingly representing the Collaborative where appropriate.
