The Collaborative is concerned with the critical need for greater awareness of the gender disparities in the HIV/AIDS arena. We recognize the tremendous power of synthesizing efforts, resources and expertise into an allied and diversely representational voice of advocacy for women. We seek to bring together a diverse group of women dedicated to improving the lives of women with HIV/AIDS, and through collective action, to devise and implement a women-centered advocacy agenda. We work towards the development of concrete strategies for eliminating disparities in HIV prevention and education, care and treatment, service delivery, research, HIV/AIDS funding, and improvement in the representation of women in HIV/AIDS policy advocacy arenas.

The Collaborative meets at regular intervals as determined by its membership. The fiscal year runs from July to June. The Collaborative is organized into five standing committees: Steering, Policy, Research & Treatment, Services & Education, and Development. Each committee shall have a chairperson that shall serve a term of two years.
